I have about a half hour drive from my home to the office of my dentist, Dr. Rob Bamford. Over time, I've lucked into a few decent shots. This morning my appointment was at 8 a.m. so I stopped for the first blush of the sunrise in Mt. Elgin.

ReplyDeleteI love your barn and homestead shots. The pink blush behind the house is just beautiful. You can see the colour reflected in the barn windows.
Nice shots! A good reason for an early appointment. Happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo I love! Great story telling image.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the side of the barn caught the morning light. - Margy

ReplyDeleteI love the lighting in these pictures. I have got to get back into blogging...
ReplyDeleteWonderful blush of morning light! And the silhouette shapes seem to etch their own stamp of beauty on the sky's canvas!

ReplyDeleteElaine- photos taken at the first blush of day-- I love them! Yours are spectacular! I maybe could take a nice daybreak picture - but I'm always on the interstate heading to work- somehow "daybreak" over the interstate" just doesn't get it---Lol!!

That is indeed a lovely sunrise but I'm almost more interested in the place you took the photo. I went to school in Elgin in Moray, Scotland. I know there's an Elgin in Illinois in the US, but I didn't know there was one in Canada. I know about Craigellachie in Canada - I spent the first 4 years of my life in the one in Scotland, and everyone in the village knows of the famous Canadian one.
