A perfect November day

Once a month a group of us current and former co-workers get together for breakfast here in Woodstock. This month we switched it up a bit and met for lunch at Pinecroft, just outside of Aylmer.

I drove past a number of Mennonite farms and, on one of them, saw this lovely horse running back and forth in front of a field of sheep.  The sheep were oblivious.

The Pinecroft Gallery and Gift Shop and Green Frog Tearoom occupy an original log cabin built in 1934 and overlook an expansive pond which attracts a great variety of wildlife from the Blue Heron to Canadian Geese.

There's an abundance of towering pine trees. And, if you look carefully, you'll see a white blob by the shoreline on the right side of the photo.

Here's the white blob - slightly enhanced through Picasa - a swan balancing on one leg, preening.
