Friday Shoot Out - Outdoor Food

This week's Friday Shoot Out topic was chosen by Girlichef from Indiana - "outdoor food" great choice! At first I anguished over the topic because we'd been having a very rainy week and it didn't seem as though I'd have a chance to take any photos for the theme.

Today, however, it was a beautiful sunny day and I didn't have to look any farther than the courtyard at work to find my photos. Each summer staff of different departments volunteer to cook and serve up BBQ'd food - the events are scattered from June to September. Today's group went all out and raided the racks at the local Goodwill Store for bridesmaid dresses to wear while they were serving burgers, salad etc.

    Looks like material for a magazine cover to me! That second photo rocks. You are really outdoing yourself these days.

    But the kicker has nothing to do with the assignment. Gray really rocks. Only a cat lover would understand.

    For those of you who have not noticed, Elaine Dale has a cat named Gray. He is the little man of the house, and he pretty much rules. Right, Elaine?

    Every few days Elaine takes a different photo of Gray and captions it - it can always be found top right corner of her blog. Cat Lovers, takes notice and enjoy the antics of Gray.

    I agree with Patty, these ladies rock, and so do you. What a fun thing to do, and (finally) a great use for bridesmaid dresses beyond being stored in my wife's closet!
