Nest update, April 15, 2009

Our resident Mourning Dove chicks appear to be hale and hardy. One little one is quite obvious in this shot, sitting directly under Mom's front. The second one is tucked in around to the right - you can just see one eye and the beak.
A close-up reveals the developing feathers. We expect they will probably fledge this weekend.

    Amazing close ups. I guess the parents are quite used to you by now. the babies are cute in an unusual sort of way.
