This is one of the Maid of the Mist boats at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Niagara Falls is about 90 minutes drive from Woodstock. I've been above the Falls looking down, I've been behind the Falls looking out but I've never been on the Maid of the Mist - ain't gonna go either. No siree bob, not for me.

I'll go! I'll go! Whoo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteThose mist photos are hard to get. You did a great job.
I once went to Victoria Falls and I didn't see it because the mist fogged up my glasses!
ReplyDeleteThe Maid of the Mist sure looks crowded on that upper deck! Love Niagara Falls...but not that boat ride. Good M choice.
ReplyDeleteI've been on the Maid of the mist!! It was a lot of fun. I'd love to do it again.
ReplyDeleteOh, I did. I did. Nice shot - looks just like it felt!
ReplyDeleteso misty! nice shot!
ReplyDeleteIt is a really ghostly image. Well done, not an easy shot.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad so many of you enjoyed this shot. I took it from the American side of the Falls. My brother and his girlfriend were with us and we really enjoyed strolling in the State Park overlooking the American Falls. The Canadian side has far more commercial development and things to do but the State Park on the American side should not be overlooked, it's a nice place to spend an afternoon.
ReplyDeleteOh! Oh! I've been! And it was fun!
ReplyDeleteBut very, very wet, and cold, too! BRRR!!! I'm glad I did it though. :)
You got quite a good picture, didn't you?
I have never been to Niagara
ReplyDeletebut have been to Iguacu falls in Brasil/Argentina and went by boat close up but not under - I would think that being on top would be harder... try it you'll like it.

Ooh, nice photo! I've been to the Falls once, and we didn't go on the Maid of the Mist, but we did do the little elevator down to walk around the wooden decks and stand under the water! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your Mourning Dove shots - that was my 'M' on Wednesday (just one adult though, no nest or babies!), so I thought for sure it was going to be yours too as I read through the posts. I'm off to look for more photos of the nest further down..
