I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid on the farm. They have such a beautiful song. These are the birds that make the little hanging nests, right?
Another winner for you. I hope I can keep my eyes open long enough to find an update on the doves. If not, fill me in. I am kind partial to your doves.
Another terrific shot!! I've never seen a Baltimore Oriole, and I'm told they are in our neck of the woods, but I've yet to see or hear one.

ReplyDeleteYes, apparently they do make hanging nests . If I see one I'll try to get a photo . Cheers ! Elsine
DeleteBird serenades are such a treat. And that looks to be such a pretty bird too. Many of our birds look good - almost all of them have truly vile voices.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! Almost looks like your lens is in the "line of fire," LOL!
ReplyDeleteElaine- oh how special!! You got a beautiful photo of your bird friend!! Love the colors-- a rare sighting-- you were so lucky!

I love to hear the birds singing. Here in the city it helps drown out the traffic noise. - Margy
