It's been a fairly quiet day at the feeders outside our kitchen and dining room windows but we did see this lovely visitor - a female Downy Woodpecker.
She stayed for about 10 minutes and occasionally stopped feeding and seemed to watch me washing the dishes in the kitchen.
So nice to look outside your window and see wildlife.
ReplyDeleteAwww. Bet Gray is excited. No snow on the ground?
ReplyDeleteLove the banner.
Happy New Year to all my Candian friends and their cats!
Skipper's New Year's resolution: lose about 10 pounds.
The little woodpeckers are one of my favorites--When I'm out of suet, I can't get more quick enough!

We still have our old standbys, Blue Jay, Chickadees and Juncos. Haven't seen anything else in months. - Margy

I came visiting on the recommendation of mybabyjohn/Delores and am so glad I did.
ReplyDeleteI envy you your woodpecker - an incredibly exotic bird to me.
She's a beauty Elaine. Our bird feeder is staying pretty busy too-- I love the woodpeckers-- love them even more now that we replaced the cedar siding on our house with vinyl!!!
