For the birds - Saturday morning on the trail
During my walk yesterday morning I had the company of White-breasted Nuthatches, Mallards and Black-capped Chickadees.
I was also entertained by a flock of migrating American Goldfinches - this is an adult male Goldfinch in his winter colours......
........and by the feeding habits of a number of Downy Woodpeckers - This is an adult female.

I must get some suet up.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye for spotting wildlife. It would be very frustrating to go on a nature walk with me. I'd ask, "Where, where?" till the bird flew away and then I *might* get a glimpse of it from behind. I'd make a lousy predator or wildlife photographer, LOL!
