Our theme for this Earth Day shoot is "Trees, Leaves, Branches, Dirt, Planting for Earth Day". Being Good Friday, today is a statutory holiday here in Canada (translation - a day off!), so I went for a walk first thing this morning and found remnants of last fall and signs of new life.
Happy Earth Day, Happy Easter!
Ooooohh! What a beautiful budding lily...well, I'm guessing it is a lily. I'm a dunce when it comes to identifying flowers.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful, i love that first photo, it shows the whole cycle of life in one shot
ReplyDeleteTo save everyone the guesswork (yes, you Mark) it's an anemone.
ReplyDeleteYour two shots are superb, meaningful shots for both Earth Day and Good Friday. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI am picturing you down on the ground with the side of your face buried in leaves, getting that beautiful shot of the anemone!
Yay it's showing up. That means Spring is here. Happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job on this theme. Things are so beautiful here too. 4 inches of rain just in so many days. Good Friday and Earth Day all over my town, but I opted out of meme's for the Holy Week. Great post.
