The two shots I've chosen for this theme are of different types of weathered wild plants and, in both cases, the bokeh in the background really helps to draw your attention to the subject in the foreground. This first shot is of Queen Anne Lace.

Nice shots, my favorite is the first one! I remember seeing some of this plant last fall and taking a picture of it
ReplyDeleteElaine, I have no idea what half of my pictures are of...but still, I find beauty in the simplest of things...I like you're photos. Well done :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Queen Anne's lace; it's so pretty any time of the year.
ReplyDeleteNice pics Scattering! I saw the thumbnail and had to visit to see it. I like the first one best but both are beautiful.

Beautiful Elaine! I loved them both! I really enjoyed this weeks topic, but I found it hard!
ReplyDeleteI liked both but grabbed the second for my FSO Bokeh file. very nice
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSomething about those shots reminds me of fireworks! :0 I guess it is a little early for that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The blur definitely adds to the beauty of the photo!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. The bottom one is very pretty with strong colours and your use of bokeh is just the way it looks on my post, if only people used a little (or a lot of) imagination.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful macro! easiest way to do bokeh is the macro shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Like it!
ReplyDeleteMy Bokeh
I really like them both. There's such a difference in the feeling of them. These must be perfect examples of bokeh!
ReplyDeleteThat first one is an eye-popper. Great job. I actually had a few photos pulled out of my folders but let time slip away.
ReplyDeleteGray needed a rest after sitting in that chair for so long. Hope the Easter cat brings him lots of catnip.
Happy Easter to you and Geoff.
Both photos are very lovely. I really like the Queen Anne's Lace. The Bokeh effect is so interesting. I have to work on it a lot more.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect, but I guess I gave up too soon. My camera would not do it. Your pics are great.

ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarah
Beautiful shots, as always!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the official name of most of the plants and trees either. love the second shot!!
ReplyDeleteNice flowers. This challenge got us thinking. Yours are great.
ReplyDeleteThe first, is it Princess Anne's lace? I have taken their photos when they are white, but not succeeded.
Hi Ann, It is Queen Anne Lace, at least in this part of the world that's what it's called. Hope you're having a wonderful Easter.
