Weather: dazzling sunlight, -15C, -18C windchill Location: heaven on earth - the Youth Start Trail, part of the Millenium Trail system, Woodstock, Ontario. It is called the Youth Start Trail as a group called "Youth Start" did much of the original work to establish the trail.
Oh, Elaine...I am in awe of that second shot!! Gorgeous...blessed with your find and ability to capture them so beautifully - thankful that you shared them.
Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I manage to do okay with my little Canon SX100, it serves me well. This particular trail is a lovely spot in any season but I think winter might be my favorite. As for the ducks, I think they need a good psych exam and maybe booties after that - I can't imagine swimming around in that frigid water.
Wow, those are such incredible ice crystals - beautiful, and well captured :)
ReplyDeleteLove the detail in the ice crystals, beautiful!
ReplyDeletewe share the same arctic temperatures, Elaine. More snow on the way, too. :( I love the detail in your ice crystals. Just like lace. Lizzy :)
ReplyDeleteHow in the world do those ducks withstand the cold of that water???
