While these are not exactly standard lighthouses, you're not likely to see this many in one spot. I'm guessing that building mini lighthouses is the hobby of someone who lives in the house just behind them. I took this photo on August 16th when I was in Newfoundland on vacation. I believe this was near Loon Bay. Aren't they cute?!

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have ever guessed those were lighthouses, I would have thought they were chicken coops or something! I always think a lighthouse is tall and with red and white stripes. But perhaps that is just the way Dutch lighthouses look!

ReplyDeleteMany many years ago, we have "Three sisters" lighthouse on Cape Cod which consisted of three lights. The ships were lined up the three lights to safely come into harbor. I do not think it is the case here. Interesting post.
