This is my favorite weathered object here in Woodstock (Ontario, Canada). This totem pole was created by Jason Triemstra of Different Seasons Landscaping. Isn't it beautiful!?

There is nothing more impressive than a totem pole; I would like to walk all the way around this one. That's a cool fence that surrounds it, and a garden too.
ReplyDeleteI love a totem pole. Thanks for the pic.
ReplyDeleteYou know I've never seen a totem pole except in pictures.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and subject!

That pole looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSorry I've been a bit off the radar...
(Just noticed your live traffic feed says I'm from Dublin. How odd.)
This is a wonderful and whimsical take on the old totem pole. Jason has done amazing work here. It is so funny to think of Billy Crystal while you are admiring a totem pole. That expression near the bottom with the half closed eye lids.... too crazy... been there, seen it, done it... where's my coffee? Wonderful and weathered Elaine, thank you!
ReplyDeleteOMG Linda, you're sooo right - that face second up from the bottom does look like Billy Crystal! Too funny. You and Barry should come to Woodstock to see it - we could go for coffee.
ReplyDeleteI took lots of shots of these when I was in Vancouver BC, and love them...this one is wonderful as well...
ReplyDeleteWe have a very similar totem pole here in Morningside Park. I should publish a photo of it some time. It is certainly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome totem pole - great find :)
