Success! Success?
Ever since I've been trail walking by the river I've been hearing, and occasionally seeing, fleeting glimpses of a Belted Kingfisher. Tonight I was finally successful in getting capturing it on film. I have 3 very grainy shots of a female, of which this is the best -

I haven't seen a Kingfisher in years! Great catch! Isn't he lovely?
ReplyDeleteThe Kingfisher is a "she" apparently the males don't have the lower stripe (the "rufous" or red one).
