When I came home from work this evening the hanging basket was birdless so I wondered if the Mourning Doves had given up on that location. Around 7pm I lifted the flower basket down and found the beginnings of a nest - a few twigs and a bit of grass patted down in a circular pattern neatly tucked in between the two ivy geranium plants. About 45 minutes later I decided to take a photo of the nest for my records. Lo and behold, when I lifted the basket down again......
