The view from here
When I arrived at work this morning I found these two visitors on the lawn. The male appears to have a slight foot injury - a bit of a limp when walking. The female (in the distance on the right) is sticking with her man and the two continued to waddle around as I left and came into the building. They may have been taking a rest enroute to Pittock. Anyone's guess.

We have mostly Merganzers and smaller fish-eating ducks up at the lake, your duck is very colourful, especially the male. Maybe they thought it was a rest stop on the "fly"way. - Margy
