ABC Wednesday - "J" is for Junco

During the winter months lots of Slate Coloured Dark-eyed Juncos visit our feeders. These little guys are adorable, they hop back and forth in the snow in a sort of scratching manner looking for seeds.ABC Wednesday is lots of fun, thanks again Denise. Take a look everyone!

  7. Here in Powell River we get the Oregon Juncos. They have dark heads and lighter bodies. I have to be very careful when I plant my garden. They love to rob all my seeds the minute we get them in the ground. One year they were so persistent trying to get through the bird netting that they looked like they were jumping on a trampoline. We call it the Junco Wars, if you know what I mean. - Margy
