Friday Shoot Out - aged and weathered

The theme for the Friday Shoot Out, "aged and weathered", was chosen by Pauline of Northland, New Zealand.

This is my favorite weathered object here in Woodstock (Ontario, Canada). This totem pole was created by Jason Triemstra of Different Seasons Landscaping. Isn't it beautiful!?

From September 2009

  7. There is nothing more impressive than a totem pole; I would like to walk all the way around this one. That's a cool fence that surrounds it, and a garden too.

  12. your pole went on a diet? LOL

Your Canadian people gave us New Zealand, a pole, but the Canadian who visit feel embarassed, it ate too much as opposed to your.

Sorry I've been a bit off the radar...

(Just noticed your live traffic feed says I'm from Dublin. How odd.)

  14. This is a wonderful and whimsical take on the old totem pole. Jason has done amazing work here. It is so funny to think of Billy Crystal while you are admiring a totem pole. That expression near the bottom with the half closed eye lids.... too crazy... been there, seen it, done it... where's my coffee? Wonderful and weathered Elaine, thank you!

  15. OMG Linda, you're sooo right - that face second up from the bottom does look like Billy Crystal! Too funny. You and Barry should come to Woodstock to see it - we could go for coffee.
