A welcome visitor

We moved into our new offices on September 12th and the past 12 days have been a blur of unpacking, finding new homes for familiar items and just settling in.

Today, Al, one of my co-workers came to our Records Room and said "There's something you need to see".    I was up to my eyeballs in a task and said "Can't right now".  He responded, "It's a hawk......."  Boom, I was outta there like a flash.  I stopped to look out the window long enough to confirm that, yes indeedy, there was a hawk and dashed to get my camera.  (Never be without a camera, you never know when or where you might need it)

I'm taking it as a good omen that this American Kestrel (a female, I believe) showed up on a utility pole just outside of the building.

Isn't she sweet?

  1. How simply amazing. I would also have been there quicker than winking. And I am grateful beyond measure that you had your camera. I hope she returns. Often.
