In the company of friends by the sea

This past Thursday, May 28th, was my friend Marilyn's 60th birthday so I traveled to Beresford, New Brunswick to join in the celebration.  The birthday cake was a delicious Cherry Cake made by Marilyn's sister Roseanne.

Here's a quick tour of some of the nature moments of the week.

American Goldfinches at Marilyn and Paul's feeder - two males and one female.

A male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Marilyn and Paul also have two hummingbird feeders and this male Ruby-throated Hummingbird was a frequent visitor.

Isn't he cute?

A warm windy day at Beresford Beach.

Sunrise

Rhododendrons and bee outside Danny's Restaurant and Conference Centre.

Foggy evening looking north at the beach.

Sunset over the lagoon.

Rowing practice.

It was a great visit and vacation.

Thanks for everything, Marilyn and Paul!

  3. You capture those beautiful birds so well. They are beautiful. I really like the windy day and foggy eve beach scenes. The last one is amazing. I think the rowing girls would really like to see that shot. Is there a way you can get it to them?
