Wee visitors in the snow - the view from here

A small flock of Snow Buntings spent most of the afternoon feeding on the hillside outside my office window.   They were about 200 ft. away so they aren't crisp.  But they are so sweet.

  3. Very, very sweet. Thank you for showing me a bird I will likely never see - and I love the snow too. Here it is hot and crisp and the countryside has gone past golden and is heading (fast) for brown.

  4. We've had flocks of sparrows and juncos all over their awn. I would enjoy them more but I think they are eating my grass seed ;) Stevie @ ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com

  5. How wonderful to be able to view them from your window ...... they look so small and delicate ... almost as if they had been watercolored into that beautiful pristine landscape.

    1. Don, don't you just hate sleet? It's right up there with freezing rain in the "annoying weather" category. Hope you all stay safe and warm.

  7. I've always wanted to see Snow Buntings but I'm not keen on the temperatures I'd have to endure to do it!
