Sunday sightings

On a quick trip to London and back today I had 4 hawk sightings on the way to London and 3 on the way back - plus these two hasty photos.

This first one was at the edge of Clarke Road in London...

....and this one was being fluffed by the breeze by the side of CP Rail tracks on #2 Highway.

  2. Elaine- I think hawks are such beautiful birds - we get so excited when we see them around here! Are you having a mild winter up there - it has been so crazy warm here! I hope you are totally on the mend now. How is Mr. Gray?

    Sending hugs-

  3. I've noticed some on the lights along the freeway. Seems to be a good spot to see the surroundings as long as they don't try to pick on a car. - Margy

  4. One of the reasons that I love winter so much is because of all the hawk sightings that happen!

  6. These are regal birds! Excellent photos too. We are fortunate enough to have a few hawks living in our New York City parks.

  7. Hi bccmee! I'm a fan of the famous Pale Male, a Red-Tailed Hawk of Central Park fame, have you ever checked out "his" website? It's at www.palemale.com

Hope you had a great vacation. Elaine
