  2. You know Margy, it didn't occur to me that it might partially be a berm to protect the road from the sea. If it is, it's the same type of rock that's on the beach so it may have been persuaded into a berm shape. I imagine the drive on that road can get quite interesting in stormy weather.

  3. My poor, sad memory of driving this road is the pelting rain. It was a wee bit scary and not at all scenic as it should have been!
