A day on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia part 1

I'm a little limited for uploading due to a poor wifi signal but I'll do what I can.

We spent the day driving from Cheticamp on the west side of the Cabot Trail to North Sydney, where we'll catch the ferry to Newfoundland early tomorrow morning.

This is how my day started - when I woke at 6:50am I realized the sun was coming over the mountains, I dressed, grabbed my camera and iPod and flew out the door to this view.
And the day just got better and better.  To be continued

  1. Your trip is off to a beautiful start. But shouldn't you be sleeping in on a vacation? - Margy

  2. Oh, yay, you're going to Newfoundland again! I'm so looking forward to visiting with you! Loved the place when you last went, and am prepared to fall even more in love with the place.

  3. The second photo is absolutely beautiful. I could live there.

  4. Elaine - these pictures are amazing - what a wonderful and beautiful start to what (I now know)was a fabulous trip for you! Love the sunrise photos!
