It's time for ABC Wednesday. This is a fun meme and lots of bloggers take part on a regular basis - last week 101 people contributed to the site.
This past Sunday we took a drive to London (Ontario) and, partially because there's currently a detour off Highway 2 and partially because we like what we call the "Arva route", we drove through the small town of Kintore. As we drove through Kintore, I spotted this sign in front of Chalmers United Church which was promoting a knitting group. My friend Vicki at 2 Bags Full will like this one.
that was a lucky "K" sighting
ReplyDeleteAh, what IS the theology of Knitting?

Hello Elaine & friends,
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the Kintore knitters and just happened across this page online. We're delighted you noticed our sign! Everyone is welcome, and there are TWO class times:
9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
and
6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
We're a friendly bunch, so please come by!
Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteMy name's Rev. Doug. I'm the minister at this church. We have an "alternative" service one Sunday a month at 9:30 am and it just so happens this week November 6, it will be about knitting. All welcome.
Thanks for stopping by Carol and Rev. Doug! We sometimes take what my husband calls (in jest) the "Larva" route to London from Woodstock. We often go to the Silver City Cinemas in the north end at Masonville so Kintore is part of the scenic route. One trip by your way in 2009 I posted about a rather striking heron: http://ascattering.blogspot.com/2009/07/friday-shout-out-textures.html
ReplyDeleteI drive by this Heron all the time. Thank you for sharing this picture. It is a gift to know that others find beauty in what exists in our neighbourhood!
