I've still never seen one blooming. I have an immature patch coming up in my fern garden and I saw a spent bloom a couple weeks ago but still waiting to catch a live show. Yours is a beautiful photo. I really like the bloodroot banner at the top of your blog. nellie
Trout Lilies are tiny and precious. If you click on the link I've added below the photo it will take you to more information. This year they are blooming about 3 weeks later than they did last year - cool wet spring.
They are beautiful. I just saw some a week or two ago when my husband and I were hiking. Such a nice little surprise.
