Friday My Town Shoot Out - Earth Day 2011

Our theme for this Earth Day shoot is "Trees, Leaves, Branches, Dirt, Planting for Earth Day". Being Good Friday, today is a statutory holiday here in Canada (translation - a day off!), so I went for a walk first thing this morning and found remnants of last fall and signs of new life.

Happy Earth Day, Happy Easter!

  1. Ooooohh! What a beautiful budding lily...well, I'm guessing it is a lily. I'm a dunce when it comes to identifying flowers.

  4. Your two shots are superb, meaningful shots for both Earth Day and Good Friday. Bravo!

I am picturing you down on the ground with the side of your face buried in leaves, getting that beautiful shot of the anemone!

  9. You did a wonderful job on this theme. Things are so beautiful here too. 4 inches of rain just in so many days. Good Friday and Earth Day all over my town, but I opted out of meme's for the Holy Week. Great post.
