A botanical lesson

Two updates from my Friday Shoot Out post.

I now know that the mysterious plant in the first photo is Wild Ginger. When I went for a walk today I looked very carefully and found it had bloomed. The flowers are small and very low to the ground.

I incorrectly commented on the second photo that it was an Anemone but have researched a little more and found that it is Bloodroot.

Happy Easter everyone!

  1. Elaine- we have Bloodroot all over our woods- I love seeing it bloom in the spring. I dug some up from the woods and moved it to one of our flower beds.

Love your new blog header photo!
