Friday My Town Shoot Out - macros

Short winter days and working until 4:30 means limited opportunities for outside photos in the winter. I know, stop the whining. Especially when winter can provide inspiration for macros shots in a humble spot like just outside the office.

  1. Hi Elaine, I just read about you and like yourself I started out with a Brown Hawkeye and flash cubes at about 14 years old. Great macro shot. I have got a new camera and just figuring out how to use it.

  2. For you it's 'Have Camera, Will Travel'! And it's always a good shot too, it seems. :-)

  3. They say we may get a few flakes this Saturday. The only other time was last November. It may be turning out to be a mild winter again. But because I said that, I am sure the blizzards aren't far behind. - Margy

  5. I have been witnessing the pink sunset world every evening as I look from my kitchen west towards Woodstock. I just caught a glimpse of it in the corner of your macro. Snow looks so fantastic in macros. The soft snow is a nice contrast to the sharp pine needles. Pine bushes dressed in woolly pom-poms. (remembering the 1960's and your blog today). Thank you for sharing.

  7. Good macro shot! I had a look at your previous post as well and I loved those icy photos... I've seen the same phenomenon before on the lake near where my parents lived. I think I have some old photos like that from before my digital camera days...

  8. That is pretty much what it is like here at the moment - everywhere is white.
