Jack Frost nipping at the trees

This morning conditions were ripe for hoar frost on the trees, grasses etc. Wikimedia Commons describes hoar frost as white frost or rime - the tiny solid deposition of water vapor from saturated air which occurs when the temperature of the surfaces is below freezing point.
