Friday My Town Shoot Out - 10 minutes from home

I think this week's theme is great - I'm sure we'll see lots of interesting places and things. Please visit other contributors at our Mr. Linky site.

I chose two directions from our house. Last Saturday morning I was meeting friends from work for breakfast at Dean Michael's Griddlehouse which is south of here on Highway 59 so I decided to clock the 10 minutes to see where it would take me. And it took me right to the the restaurant! Here's the view looking south from the parking lot.

And turning right slightly, from the same spot.

Then that night we were driving west on Beachville Road to an Open House at artist Shane Norrie's home in Ingersoll and exactly 10 minutes from our house we had a night view of Carmeuse Lime & Stone, better know to locals as Beachville Lime.

Can't wait to see what everyone else has found!

  1. Great Shootout, Elaine.
One of the things I miss about North America is the serious breakfast food at places like D Micheal's. There's nothing like whipped cream & chocolate sauce to go with sausages & fried potatoes!

  4. Lorac, you're sooo right about the night view of Beachville Lime. Daytime it just looks like a hideous scar.

  6. Well it looks like you have some beautiful snow on the ground, and what a lovely setting for a Saturday breakfast. Here in Oregon it is pouring down rain right now, and not so picturesque!
