Thanks to Daylight Savings Time kicking in around 2am this morning, daylight arrived an hour "earlier" than it did yesterday. It was a beautiful morning when I hit the trail around 7:45am.
Walking this trail gives me time in the great outdoors but an added bonus, almost every visit, is that I see trains. Tracks used by
CP Rail run past one side of the trail and ones used by
Via Rail Canada and
Canadian National Railway pass by on opposite side.
This is the engine of a Via Rail passenger train -
It was a glorious morning
Thanks to the sharp eyes of another walker and his dog, I was advised that this little fellow was way up a tree.
The sunshine and blue sky continued the remainder of the day. Too bad we can't hide away a day or two like this to pull out when the wind blows and the snow flies in the middle of winter....
Wishing you a wonderful week!
A cute little guy, but I know raccoons can be pretty tough to contend with. - Margy
ReplyDeleteWell a winding path and a furry creature....on my top list of favorite things. The racoon looks a little scared.
