A stop-over and a fly-by at Sandy Point

This year my vacation in Newfoundland was a west to east journey. On August 26th I flew into Deer Lake Airport which is on the west coast of the island, just at the base of the Great Northern Peninsula. After a few days of hiking and road trips we left to visit with my stepmother in Grand Falls-Windsor and then spent a night at the family summer place at Sandy Point on September 1st.

It was a beautiful evening.
And the geese were spreading their wings.
