An acre in Outer Cove

I spent from September 2-8 with my brother Rob and his partner, Caroline in Outer Cove. Outer Cove is a little bit of heaven just outside of St. John's, Newfoundland and they are tucked away in a beautiful corner in a salt box style house that Rob designed and built about 15 years ago.
And, there they live surrounded by birds, like Red-breasted Nuthatches
Black-capped Chickadees
and Blue Jays (this one looks more than a little indignant)
And they have three cats. Jack, who stays indoors,
Kit
and Haydes, who both wander the wide world and come and go from the house as they see fit
and do as they please.

  1. The cats are beautiful and as for the blue jay...he looks like he was making sure the photographer got his best side.

  2. You had a great trip. I'll check all the pictures out again before next summer if we get to go. You know all the secret spots. Our (my Mom's) cat would love to explore outdoors like that. - Margy

  3. That almost looks like a little place that I know in Georgia. The cats are so sweet. I know Gray and Skipper wish they could wander around in the wild. Shhhh. Don't tell.
