Tonight on the trail

We had very heavy rain overnight Saturday and the river and creek still bear evidence. In fact, the trail does as well - a section of the concrete walkway is still under water.
Did the Robin chick hatch, or was the egg was out of the nest during the storm?
A little guy who casts a big shadow.
And the bonus on this walk? A lifer! This is an American Redstart. A teeny little thing with a sweet voice.

  1. Such beautiful photos! I'm going to have to look up an American Redstart. Never heard of them.
We have places during monsoons in the summer that become covered in water too. Can't wait to post about that!

  4. So very beautiful! I found a robin egg as well a few weeks ago not long after rain and winds. I wondered if it was the storm, or just a left over egg from hatching. These photos are wonderful! So happy to be following you and seeing such beautiful photos.
