Fun in the city - part 1

Tuesday evening I headed off in the fog, by train to meet Geoff in Toronto. Geoff was in Toronto on business and I went to play.

From our room at the Sheraton Centre we had a view south to the CN Tower.

From the same window I could also see people doing laps in a rooftop pool - it was warm, but I wouldn't have thought it was THAT warm.

You also never know who you might run into in a great hotel like the Sheraton - I met Alexandre Bilodeau, Canada's first Gold medalist at the Vancouver Olympics (me on the left, Alexandre on the right)
Osgoode Hall is just across the street from the Sheraton, the property is lovely in any season. The intricate detail on the top of this gate includes two beavers (see them?) and the initial "V" for Queen Victoria with stylized "R"s (for Regent, I suspect) on either side of the "V". The Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Superior Court Of Justice and the Law Society of Upper Canada currently reside at Osgoode Hall.

  1. Oh how I want to dive into that pool right now, and do some water aerobics! I miss the great big pools of the south and mid-west!

How cool to meet that woman! Shhh, now I do not feel so bad being out of shape when I used to be such an in shape and exercise girl in my younger days! he he
