Friday My Town Shoot Out - honouring trees

I often post photos from walks on my favorite trail but, Ginger's choice of "honouring trees" for the Friday Shoot Out, has given me the opportunity to share the WHOLE trail - therefore lots and lots of trees. Granted it's still spring so the trees are just starting bud in this neck of the woods (pardon the pun). Turn on your sound, click the arrow and enjoy!

I created this slide show through SmileBox and it was easy and fun - give it a try, there are lots of free features.

  4. Elaine, my patience has been rewarded. It took 2 hours to download your video on my antiquated rural dial up but I'm so glad I waited. I did so enjoy that stroll along your trail. The trees, the footbridge and that little yellow bridge, the music, it was all perfect. Thank you for going to so much trouble.

  6. Great trail! I thought I even felt a breeze walking through... I love the wildflowers and moon along the way.

  7. I enjoyed my walk with you this morning Elaine. I hope I have enough energy left to take Lindsay for a run!

I can picture what the trails must look like when the trees are in full leaf.

  8. Pauline, your patience is incredible! I'm glad you thought it was worth the wait.

Barry, I'm thinking I might try to create summer, fall and winter walks like this as well - by the end of the year we'll know if I've succeeded.

  11. Nice slide show. I likes the boardwalk section. So many different plants in the swampy areas and they make crossing safe for hiker and plants alike. - Margy

  12. I love this video, how clever to make it! A virtual tour of God's beauty!

  13. You are so clever. Is this where you go to unwind?

  14. Yes, this is where I go to unwind. It's been right under my nose for years but I only started walking there around this time last year. It's so peaceful. I often see other people either alone or walking dogs but it's never congested. There are a number of other trails in and around the city but this is the one I visit the most. Glad you could join me this time!

  15. simply beautiful and so soothing. love the smooth jazz in the background. what group was that BTW? my kind of music.

  16. Doreen, I've no idea who the group is playing the music - it was one of the free choices on SmileBox. I'm considering buying a 1 year membership ($39.99) as you can then upload music of your choice and have many more template options. Worth considering I think.

  17. I loved it! Our town is in the planning stages on a nature path/walk system. I can't wait!

Really beautiful photos, the one looking up through the trees into the blue sky took my breath away!
