You're not going to believe this...they're back already!

We still have a fair bit of snow on the ground and the temperature overnight was -7 Celsius. Yet, the crazy Mourning Doves appear to be back for another season of raising chicks on our veranda. Geoff saw them hovering near the front of the house yesterday and this morning they found their way to their favorite nesting spot above our front door. They've started delivering twigs to build the nest and Geoff managed to get this shot of one of them during a quick stop-over.

    Yep I do our pair of collared doves are getting amorous as are the parakeets but we are a bit warmer here in the UK only down to minus 4 last night

    Aw. They are early. Ours aren't back yet. Their haunting coo is so comforting to me.
