My Town Friday Shoot Out - wrought iron

Baird Machines Inc. is located on Dundas Street (our "main street") here in Woodstock and has been in operation since 1890. They have impressive wrought iron detail framing their front door.

Here is a closer look.

This week's theme was suggested by JarieLyn, please stop by Mr. Linky to find links to other posts featuring wrought iron. Next week's theme, at Doreen's request, will be "your favorite colour".

  9. Today I happened to run into Isabel Baird, mother of the current owner, Tom Baird. This wrought iron trim was made and installed Tom's grandfather many years ago. Tom is almost 60 so you can bet that it was installed at least 60+ years ago.
