Friday My Town Shoot Out - fences

The theme for the Friday My Town Shoot Out this week is "fences" as chosen by Sandra Leigh of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

We live in a small rural city in southwestern Ontario, so I never have to drive far to find interesting fences - both of these shots are from November. The first was taken on Oxford County Road 13, south of Woodstock.
This second shot was taken looking south driving east towards Woodstock on Highway 2.
Please pop by to see other offerings on this theme.

  1. I like the second fence best, but the horses really catch my eye. I used to have several horses, but now that I live in Powell River it isn't part of my lifestyle. Wayne and I have been talking about going back to Newfoundland this summer. Our time there last summer was just too short. We probably will pay extra and fly directly there so we can have all of our time there to explore. We probably will try to go across to Labrador if it isn't too difficult. - Margy

  3. Good example of two entirely different fences. Nice post.

  4. These were taken at an earlier time of year, given the lack of white stuff. Nonetheless, they are gorgeous! Both pictures project the idea that monoculture does not exist everywhere. Small family farms look productive and welcoming. Thank you Elaine!

Have a beautiful week! With love from Barry and Linda

  14. Again, I love both photos but for different reasons. In the first photo, I like the way you captured the rolling hills and got the slant on the fence.

The second photo is very inviting even though there is a fence there. I want to jump it and keep on running to see what is on the other side.
