Central Newfoundland & Skywatch Friday

I spent the second week of my vacation based from the Sandy Point (near Norris Arm) area in central Newfoundland. So, this view is my choice for Skywatch Friday this week.

While in the area I popped out to Campbellton for Sunday dinner with cousin Deborah and her friend and former co-worker Pat. I took this shot while standing in Pat's garden.

On my way back that evening I had an encounter with a local critter - a black bear strolled across the road and into the woods.

A Sandy Point sunset from Carol and Gerry's dining room window.

  13. What a beautiful area you live in! I really like the big cloudy sky photo.

That's kind of scary having a big black bear in the neighborhood!

  16. You saw a bear too, I'm jealous. But I am glad we didn't see one near our tent camping. One thing I missed was a good picture of the colourful Newfoundland homes. See, I have to come back. - Margy
