Sunday afternoon photo op

In the three weeks since I last walked the Youth Start Trail there's been quite a bit of change in the vegetation. This is the first time I've seen these twin mushrooms.

and these flowers are Turtleheads (Chelone glabra) - thanks to Karen for identifying these lovely blooms for me.

    Your vacations are all about food. And now, apparently, my blog is too. Seriously though, I had THE best fish cakes at the Seaside in Trout River. And had ones that were darned near as good at a cafe in King's Point. mmmmmmmm

    I like the angle you took that on. My granddaughters take those when they are grown draw pictures on them and let them dry for keepsakes and decoration.

    Beautiful flower and photos. I can't help you with the name of those flowers.

    Things are changing around here, too. I noticed some of the fall wildflowers are coming up and a lot of leaves are turning.

    This has been a fast moving summer.

    Gray is just adorable with his jammies.

    I was so excited to tell you that your mystery flower is called Turtlehead....and am somewhat dissapointed that someone beat me to it.....and at the same time pleased with myself that I had found it in my Audubon book. Talk about mixed emotions!
