Friday Shoot Out - Textures

The assignment for this week's Friday Photo Shoot Out is Textures, as chosen by Linda.

My textures are all related to trees. Can you feel the textures of the needles and cone?

This tree was lying next to a trail I was walking and it was covered with this wonderful, almost hairy, moss.

And finally this beautiful Heron and other critters are carved on the remains of what would have been a very large tree on a local area farm. It is firm, warm, cold, covered in creavasses and smooth spots. It is stunning. The next time I stop there I think I'll close my eyes and map it with my hands.

Friday Shoot Out is a bundle of fun that Patty, Reggie Girl and Gordon wrangle into shape each week - thanks guys! You'll find their links and those of other participants listed in the right hand column of this blog.
