ABC Wednesday - "Q" is for quilt

When I took this photo in August of last year it was hanging in the window of my friend Mildred's bedroom. Mildred is in her 80s and the quilt was made by her mother, so you do the math. This window overlooked an enclosed sunroom so the quilt was away from much of the potential sunlight damage. Mildred has since moved from her farmhouse to a retirement home and still has her quilt with her but its no longer hanging in a window. Will anyone else have a post regarding a quilt? And, if so, what will the story be?

Take a look at ABC Wednesday for more fun from the letter "Q".

  10. Lovely choice and tender story! I have several quilts made by my great-great-grandmother, but they are stored - maybe I should un-store them and enjoy their essence.
