Easter weekend photo shoots

Good Friday Geoff wanted to take some photos around Zorra Township for a local publication so we set off with two cameras and a healthy dose of optimism. Easy for Geoff to be optimistic for a change - he had a memory card in his camera and I had forgotten mine (it was sitting in the laptop at home...). Geoff had a spare with him but, of course, it was a Compact Flash card and I needed an SD. So I ended up being a subject along with a very friendly farm dog. Geoff was shooting photos of a valley when this lovely dog wandered up to make friends with him. Then it was my turn. - as Geoff was taking this photo, I was being annointed with dog fur and slobber - but it was worth it.

Saturday we took much the same route and this time I had a memory card in the camera PLUS a spare. Here's a pristine barn -
- a collapsing barn -
- and one long gone.

This stretch of road is southeast of Embro - it looks pretty in any season. Happy Easter everyone.

  4. I've done that before, left the memory card in the laptop. Very frustrating. Glad you had a second chance the next day. Pretty photos.

  7. I love your barns. I love old weathered buildings and collapsing buildings. So interesting to think of the history and see the shapes. Sad and beautiful, both.

Since you live in the country, you might want to consider participating in Small Town Snapshot Sunday.
