My World - Oxford County Court House

I took this photo of the Woodstock Courthouse, located on Princess Street, Sunday afternoon. The architectural style was strongly influenced by American architect H.H. Richardson (1838-1886) and is often referred to as Richardsonian Romanesque.

The area denoted in the black box at the center top of the photo above is enlarged below and shows a "grotesque" climbing the peak of the building.

  4. It ia beautiful buidling. Any relation to the Woodstock or Oxford in the UK? Thay are both really old place names there.
