Skywatch Friday 20

This has been a week of dull grey skies here in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada so I dug back in my photo archives to find colourful skies from my last trip home to Newfoundland in August 2007. Both shots were taken near the family cabin (cabin, cottage, summer home, best place in the world) at Sandy Point near Norris Arm. This sunrise shot was taken a little before 6am. I'd woken a little earlier than usual and stepped out to the deck to see what the day was offering. The water was like glass and somewhere out of sight loons were calling. The lights on the right are in Norris Arm.
Happy Thanksgiving to all American viewers and Happy Skywatch Friday to everyone!

  3. Those are amazing shots. The first one should be framed and hung on a wall. Very well done.

    Cheers!

  4. What beautiful sky shots. The last one looks like it is in a tunnel; it does not look real.
