A perfect day, a not so perfect week

No question about it, it's been a difficult week. Monday evening we came home to discover that our home had been burglarized while we were at work. Today we were able to escape the insurance paper work for awhile and enjoy this beautiful first day of autumn. The photo above was taken at the Woodstock Farmer's Market.
Geoff was doing an interview in Stratford with Bill and Shelley Winsor, co-owners of The Old English Parlour (restaurant and inn) so I killed some time while he was busy. This statue of William Shakespeare is on the grounds of the Festival Theatre.
The garden at the Festival Theatre is full of great treasures, including this lily pond.
I popped into a small shop called the Grand Dame, sadly they were having a closing out sale. This lady sniffing the soap looks like a grand dame herself or maybe a long lost cousin of Garbo, don't you think?!

  1. Defintely a nice way to end a crummy week. Love the Greta Garo look alike and the water lilies.
